The Plotly plugin is packed with numerous features and options, which have been organized into separate modules to provide users with more flexibility and control.

The main module is the plotter, which serves as the core of the chart plotter, while other modules are linked to the plotter and offer optional settings for different parts of the chart.

The trace module is responsible for capturing data and determining the type of chart to be displayed. There are 18 trace modules available, which can be linked together to create stacked or grouped charts.

For example, you can combine the scatter trace module with the bar trace module to create a combo chart that displays both data types on a single graph.

The List Formatting module is another optional module that enables users to customize each data point individually, making it an excellent tool for data storytelling. This module allows for features such as displaying the highest and lowest data points in a bar graph with different colors.

Some modules are available for styling or modifying the chart's settings. For example, the Axis module offers settings for customizing the axes, while the Legend module provides full control over the chart's legend. The Color Bar module allows users to add a color scale to any type of chart.

⚙️
The configuration module deals with basic chart settings, chart features or interactions. You can link a module for several charts so that there is no need to rework. It should be noted that this is true for all types of modules.


🗺️🌐
One of the great tools of this plugin is map charts. You don't need any third-party API to make a map chart and you can draw different types of maps only with the names of locations or their coordinates.
We have two trace map modules to create data series, scatter map with which you can draw scatter, line, area and bubble chart on the map and Choropleth Map which is used to draw heatmap like on the maps.

For map settings, there is a geo-layout module where you can change map specifications. These modules are linked to the plotter like other modules.


Two additional modules, the Shape and Annotation modules, provide further customization options.
🌈 With the Shape module, users can add any shape or SVG to any point of the chart, 🔤 while the Annotation module allows for annotations to be added to the chart.

For example, the Shape module could be used to add custom shapes or SVGs to the charts to help highlight important data points and with the Annotation module, could add notes or callouts to the chart, such as a message indicating a significant change in data.
